Wildlife

The artist has a passion for wildlife and endangered species and amongst general artworks, he has embarked upon a quest to record special limited edition bronze pieces (by commission) of just a few favourites. The destruction of wildlife and their habitats is catastrophic for future generations. By investing in a limited edition bronze you will contribute to a recognition and appreciation of the special place they have on our planet whilst creating a personal heirloom for the future. Other wildlife artworks are usually fired clays, each in an attempt to capture the essence of the species they represent in a creative manner and style of presentation.

Figures & The Human Form

The human form is of course endless in its permutations and has a warmth and familiarity about it.Historically it has been created and copied by every great nation, carved to record history by the skills of great craftsmen and artists throughout the ages – to note leaders, conquests, battles, love and symbolism as well as tokens and images of worship. The human form in sculptural terms encapsulates a time, an age, an expression,character or gesture forever. Therefore it continues to be the essence of great interest – to communicate through modelling it in the options it offers the artist.

Creative

Creative artworks are the development of an idea, theme or a creative interpretation of a more obvious image, often encapsulating symbolism or mindful of the spaces in between not just the structure. To model an idea and put form and dimension into it is always challenging to the artist, as often there are few guidelines to follow. To interpret a thought or idea into three dimensions often requires consideration of the space into which it will be placed for maximum effect if it is of a significant size. Proportion, size, form ,direction, where light and shade fall… all play their part in rewarding the observer into an appreciation or thoughtfulness about a piece of artwork that make it special to the observer.
